Branching Out

Branching Out is a series of projects offering opportunities for young people aged 16-25 with additional needs, to gain horticultural skills and work/life experience in a supported therapeutic environment.

We offer a holiday scheme for young people with a learning disability to come and try out gardening as a group activity as part of our social therapeutic horticulture programme. This year we will be running a three day Easter Scheme open to all young people in Herts and Beds, with funding from Bedfordshire Charitable Trust to provide fully funded places for Bedfordshire residents (with a £15 deposit, refundable on attendance). (Full cost £75 for the three days to residents of other counties).

The scheme runs from 9-11th April 2024, from 9.30am to 3pm at our allotment site. Please contact us for more information and to book your place now! Check out our short video called “Growing Ability – Come and Try!” to find out the sort of things we’ll be doing at Branching Out:
