… then Friday Garden Club is for you!
Friday mornings, 10am-12.15 at the Triangle Garden.
In Spring 2026 we launched a Crowdfunder to help support the biodiversity actions of our Garden Clubs and we’d like to thank everyone who has supported us so far!
Special thanks to Garden Club Superfunder: Charlotte Jones, Garden Club Supporter: Holly Butcher and Garden Club Helpers: Valerie Schicker, Madela Baddock and Rufus Wyer. Thanks also to the many individuals who did not wish to be credited on our website or who donated anonymously. Your support will ensure that our Garden Clubs can continue to work together enhancing our community green spaces to restore nature, support people’s wellbeing and strengthen local resilience. If you’d like to donate please use the link above.
Friday Garden Club members tend and nurture our community gardens and habitats, keeping them beautiful, productive, biodiverse and in balance, using permaculture principles. We also work on a couple of half allotment plots, sowing and growing a range of plants for the community gardens, and fundraising for our projects by selling the surplus plants at our events.
Meet at Ransom’s Pavilion, end of Alexandra Road, Hitchin SG5 1RB (5 mins walk from Hitchin station). Wear old, practical clothes to suit the weather. Refreshments and tools provided, but please bring your own gardening gloves.

What people say about Friday Garden Club:
“Lovely to connect with nature and do something useful with lovely people”
“I arrive stressed and tired and leave relaxed and happy”
“When I came to the Triangle Garden my mental health was poor, I constantly felt tired and anxious and felt I had no time or motivation to do anything about it. Initially, just meeting the staff and volunteers was reassuring, as they were all friendly and calm, with a passion for the project that was contagious.”
“Steve spent time showing me around the forest garden and sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm about the different plants, their purpose within the garden, what they produced and how this was used. It was fascinating and inspiring, a magical place to forget the stresses of daily life and feel at one with nature.“
