Growing Ability Trip to Wimpole Hall, by Dale

One of our gardeners, Dale (above), wrote a blog about our trip to Wimpole Hall on Thursday 26th June. He wrote this in his free time outside of sessions and his beautifully clear handwriting can be seen in the photos at the bottom of the blog:

‘Today I went to Wimpole trip, we got lunch then got a train ticket then we got a taxi to arrive and come home at the end of the session trip out.

two people at Wimpole Hall walled garden

We looked all around the flower meadow and talked to the others. We all took photos of us all. We signed the church sign in book.

As a group we looked [at] the scenery, the trees and the other buildings and the food shops and the book shops, etc.

We looked around the flower meadow, took group photos, we talked about our lives.

The food tastes really nice and wonderful, the places there were excellent and the cafe was spaced out.

In Wimpole the animals there are nice and wonderful, also the house were famous and sold [for] lots of money. In Wimpole the shops there, keeping Wimpole business keep going stronger altogether.’

Dale also describes a more usual Growing Ability day:

‘In every gardening session in every Tuesdays or Wednesdays, in each session we write notes about the day and eat healthy foods and pick up litter with litter pickers.

In the gardening sessions we water the raised beds and the allotments and talk to others about life issues and reviews, key ideas and [risk] assessments and [sign our daily record notes with our] signatures.’

Thank you Dale – what a wonderful account!
