Next year is our 25th anniversary and we want to mark the occasion with some transformational improvements to the biodiversity and community benefit of Ransoms Rec.
But first we need to establish what you – as our community – would like to see there. We’ve created a short digital survey and we’d love to hear your views. This is the same survey as we ran at our Summer Fete so if you’ve already done it, no need to repeat.
If you’d like to take part, have a think about how you currently use the Rec and how it could be improved to encourage you to visit more often?
Would you like to see more seating, better lighting, better signage, or more accessibility for example? Do you think the rec would benefit from more trees, more flowers, more winter interest, more fruit bushes/fruit trees or maybe more wildness? How about facilities – would you welcome outdoor gym apparatus, picnic tables, a community cafe/kiosk with outdoor seating?
These are just some of the ideas we’ve presented in the survey but you may have way more interesting ones! Let us know your vision for our beloved rec and let’s work together to make it a really special place for people and nature!
